Trump ‘very surprised’ Collins and Murkowski opposed advancing Hegseth nomination

President Trump told reporters he was “very surprised” when Sen. Collins, R-Maine, and Sen. Murkowski, R-Alaska, voted against advancing the nomination of Pete Hegseth to serve as the secretary of defense when departing the White House.
