Ukraine agrees to rare mineral deal with US for security guarantees

Ukraine has confirmed that its government will authorize a deal with the United States that they say would share revenue from some of Ukraine’s key mineral resources with the U.S. in exchange for security guarantees. That final push is could come by the end of the week when Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy is expected to visit Washington to sign a deal alongside President Donald Trump.
